Our principal attorneys have been certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as specialists in family law. In North Carolina, approximately 3.5% of attorneys are certified as specialists. To be granted this certification, an attorney must achieve a satisfactory score on a written examination in his/her practice area, make a satisfactory showing of qualification in the specialty through peer review, maintain a level of continuing legal education credits in the specialty area and maintain substantial involvement in the specialty area for at least five years.
